Personally, I think it may be better to just reserve these special colors for specialized ranks, such as donators, staff, helpers, etc to reduce confusion and to keep the chat overall clean. There is also the fact that God/Goddess might not be the final rank in the future. Despite all this, I think a better alternative would be to allow donators to use previous rank colors in chat. Ex: Diamond players can use emerald, sapphire, ruby coloring, but a sapphire can not use emerald or diamond coloring. This doesn't add new colors, but still allows players to customize their names to a color they prefer. Although, this doesn't relate to the colored names I would like to extend the idea of using previous rank tags as well.
